Reasi

The charming state of Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi District is a haven for both history buffs and lovers of the great outdoors. The town's previous name, "Rasyal," is where the name Reasi originates. Reasi was a part of the state of Bhimgarh, which Bhim Dev founded in the eighth century. In the eighth century, Bhim Dev founded the state that is now known as Reasi, formerly known as Bhimgarh. When Jammu was ruled by Hari Dev in 1652, a brief history of the subsequent kings is available. There was unrest in Jammu in 1810, when Diwan Singh was in power. Gulab Singh was dispatched to seize command by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Gulab Singh restored law and order by taking harsh measures against the rebels. As General Zorawar Singh became the King of Jammu in 1822, he gave up control of the administration to him after defeating the rebels in the Reasi area.
