Situated at an elevation of 9,186 feet, Thajiwas Glacier in Sonamarg is a vast and incredibly beautiful glacier. Encircled by frozen lakes, meadows, and fir trees, and with the Thajiwas mountain towering over it, this is one of the most breathtaking scenes you will ever witness. The glacier creates a stunning silvery backdrop against emerald fields and a brilliant blue sky. Visitors come to Thajiwas Glacier to take in the breathtaking scenery, construct snowmen, and go sledding. Another option is to go on a quick hike to some of the waterfalls that surround Thajiwas Glacier. You can hike to many waterfalls surrounding this glacier for half a day during the summer
