Darang Waterfall

Situated in the picaresque village of Tangmarg, (13 kms away from Gulmarg) Darang Waterfall is a majestic cascade that glides down from the mountains. It is also referred to as the Frozen waterfall. Visitors to Darang Waterfall are treated to the scenic beauty of verdant forests and rugged cliffs. One has to trek along the forested trails and cross bubbling streams. When visitors arrive at the waterfall, they are greeted by the sound and sight of gushing water falling into a glistening pool beneath, encircled by colourful flora and rocks covered in moss. It is a perfect place to take a day off from the hustle and bustle of life and get immersed in the therapeutic sound of gushing water. During winter, the waterfall is frozen. During winter, one can reach the place through ATV bikes or chained taxis.
