Situated in Jammu's Kishtwar district, Mughal Maidan is a well-known and exquisite picnic area. This charming valley, encircled by rolling hills and luxuriant vegetation, provides a window into the area's magnificent history. It's being developed as a tourist destination. Due to the cemetery where Mughal soldiers are buried, it was formerly known as Mughal Mazar. This location is made even more beautiful by the market area, visitor center, and trout farm with its pristine river water. Mughal Maidan has hiking and is a great place for kids. There are also fish farms and tiny stores there. Dense forests teeming with wildlife blanket the slopes surrounding Mughal Maidan. Singhpora is the starting point of a stunning trek that leads to Kashmir Valley from Mughal Maidan. At an elevation of 11,570 feet, the trek concludes at Vailo, which is close to Kokarnag. Dacchan Wadwan Valley is reached by another trek that begins right before Mughal Maidan. The alpine pastures in the Mughal Maidan area are naturally beautiful and have a cool climate. It is perfect for ice hockey, skiing, skating, rock climbing, paragliding, and horseback riding.
