The historic Krimchi temples, a testament to the rich cultural legacy of the area, are located amid the picturesque hills of Jammu's Udhampur district. Situated at an altitude of 730 metres above sea level, it is situated in a valley. These historic temples are silent reminders of the rich history that has been woven throughout the area. Known locally as the Pandava Temples, these incredibly stunning ancient temples are thought to have been constructed in the eleventh or twelfth century AD. This well-known tourist destination in Jammu is home to seven ancient Hindu temples, four of which are large and three of which are small, and they are all devoted to Lord Shiva. These amazing temples are perched atop a stone complex, and their beauty is further enhanced by a small stream that flows nearby. These temples have incredible architecture that is visually stunning and clearly influenced by Greek design. The temple contains sculptures of several gods, including Shiva, Ganesh, and Parvati. The main temple is about fifty feet high. As per the folklore surrounding the Krimchi Group of Temples, Raja Kichak is credited with building both the temples and the town. The Pandava brothers spent a significant amount of time here during their banishment, according to the Mahabharat.
