Danishwar, sometimes referred to as Chota Amarnath locally, is one of the holiest sites for Hindus. It's a cave in one of Arin's thick forests. It takes a pilgrimage of roughly 60 meters to crawl to a cave containing engraved features of Lord Shiva. On the day of the Amar Nath Yatra, known as Sharvan Purnima, people travel there. For those who wish to honor Lord Shiva, the Chote Amarnath Cave is the primary draw. According to legend, this cave offers a more modest but no less revered version of the famous Amarnath Yatra. The sound of old prayers reverberates throughout the calm atmosphere that greets you as soon as you enter. The cave's architecture is simple but breathtaking, and its organic formations lend it a mysterious atmosphere. Within is a naturally occurring lingam, a symbol of Lord Shiva thought to be a manifestation of divine energy. Chote Amarnath is a sanctuary for nature enthusiasts as well as a place of spirituality. The scene is nothing short of spectacular, with snow-capped mountains and an abundance of greenery all around.
