Spread over an approximate area of twenty acres, Eco Park in Baramulla is a haven for biodiversity enthusiasts, nature lovers and those seeking tranquillity. Situated on an island in the midst of the Jhelum River, it can be reached by a suspension bridge made of wood. The park is home to a variety of flora and fauna. A wide range of birds, including ducks, herons, and kingfishers, can be seen in the park. There's a kid-friendly play area with swings, slides, and other equipment. The park boasts a variety of indigenous plant species, vibrant flowers, aromatic herbs and majestic trees which together paint a picaresque landscape. There is an artificial lake in the park. The park is also famous for the beautifully carved wooden huts which are an emblem of traditional Kashmiri wooden craft. These huts are bordered by the Jhelum River and lush green meadows. The park also has a cafeteria where one can treat their tastebuds.
