The Tosa Maidan is a meadow located in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir's Khag tehsil surrounded by the towering Himalayas, it enthralls tourists with its natural beauty and old world charm. “Tosa Maiden” translates to “the king-size meadow”. In addition to being a well-known pasture, Tosa Maidan is also well-known for its rich history. Tosa Maidan is rumored to be one of the pastures that shepherds from neighboring countries used to visit in the past. This was the route the Mughals used to travel to Poonch. It is said that they built the seven-story Dam-Dam building here. The pass leading to Tosa Maidan is called Basmai Gali, and it is 13,000 feet high. On its right side is another pass called Poonch Gali, which leads to the Poonch valley. One interesting fact about Tosa Maiden is that, thanks to its serene surroundings and stunning views, it is said to have served as an inspiration to poets and artists for centuries.
