Tarsar Lake

Tarsar Lake is surrounded by mountains, meadows with scattered conifer trees, and breathtaking vistas of snow-capped hills. It is situated in the Aru district of Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. With a peak elevation of 4000 metres, a mountain divides it from its sister lake, Marsar. The lake's interesting feature is that, depending on the angle of the sun at sunrise and sunset, it changes colour throughout the day. The lake is only accessible in the summer, which is fantastic since it allows you to see a variety of species, like Himalayan golden eagles, black bulbul, bar-headed geese, and high-flying coughs. You can also take in its entrancing beauty and tranquil surroundings.
