While Srinagar, Gulmarg, and Pahalgam are outstanding, there are several lesser-known gems in Kashmir that can provide a more real and peaceful experience. Daksum, in the southern section of Kashmir Valley, is recognised for its natural beauty and tranquilly. While staying at Daksum you can explore Sinthantop where guests can experience snow in summer months. In addition, Yusmarg and Doodhpathri are two stunning and comparatively unexplored tourist locations in Kashmir. Both locations are renowned for their natural beauty, picturesque location, and tranquilly.

Day 01: Srinagar ? Doodhpathri (One way ? 50 Kms; 02.30 hrs by Road)

  • Arrival at Srinagar Airport and our representative/driver will meet and greet you at the airport & transfer to Doodhpathri.
  • Doodhpathri Description -A tourist destination and hill station located in Budgam district of Jammu & Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 8,957 ft from sea level, and located at a distance of 42 km from state summer capital Srinagar.

    It lies in a bowl shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, at an altitude of 2,730 m (8,957 ft), above sea level. It is an alpine valley covered with snow clad mountains and the meadows of Pine Fir and Deodar. The natural meadows, which are covered with snow in winter, allow the growth of wild flowers such as daisies, forget-me-nots and butter cups during spring and summer.

    Getting there: Doodhpathri is easily accessible from Srinagar city or Srinagar Airport (SXR), in less than 2?3 hours from car or bus.

Day 02: Dhoodhpathri ? Pahalgam (One way ? 130 Kms; 04.00 ? 04.30 hrs by Road)

  • After breakfast check out from the hotel & Transfer to Pahalgam.
  • Description about Pahalgam:Pahalgam is one of the famous Tourist attraction tourist attraction and a favourite place for shooting of Bollywood films, and is still a health resort. Besides tourist huts, several hotels in private sector have come up here and these hotels provide modern facilities to their guests.

  • Optional/Own arrangement:Embark on an excursion to Chandanwari (3288 meters), Betaab Valley and Aru Valley. Surrounded by snow-covered mountain peaks and dense pine and deodar forests, this valley is the mouth of River Sheshnag.
  • Check in to the Hotel.
  • Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 03: Pahalgam to Daksum (75kms-2 hrs-by road)

  • After breakfast check out from the hotel & transfer to Daksum.
  • Description about Daksum:Daksum is famous for its trout. Gurgling streams, hidden grassy meadows, where your only company is the sound of the gushing Bringhi River or an occasional shepherd tending his flock. Daksum is also famous for its angler's heaven.
  • Check in to the Hotel in Daksum.
  • Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Daksum.

Day 04: Daksum - Sinthantop - Daksum (One way - 50 Kms)

  • After breakfast, have an excursion. Sinthan Top is one such destination that caught the tourist's eye recently when the construction of Kokernag- Kishtwar national highway road started.
  • Sinthantop Description:It is located at a height of 3748 meters; Sinthan top became a tourist favorite because of its magnificent location and breath-taking beauty. Around 38 kilometers of snaky and uphill drive from Daksum, it's an adventurous journey. And round the year snow at the top makes it a varied choice for local tourists as well as outsiders. The journey to this place is thrilling and so is sliding down the snow-capped peaks. Apart from the normal tourism activity, Sinthan top has a great potential for Adventure tourism. The spot is best suited for mountaineering and skiing with the height at which it is located and the kind of mountain ranges it has and it also has a 360-degree view on its top.

  • After having visited, return to the Daksum Hotel. Dinner & overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Daksum ? Yusmarg (One way - 100 Kms, Around 3.00 hrs per way)

  • After breakfast Proceed towards Yusmarg.
  • YUSMARG DESCRIPTION:Located in Bagdam district, Meadows of Yusmarg is known for its long stretches of green pastures. An ideal tourist attraction that in its humblest of ways teaches to revere nature, Yusmarg is a proud part of the Valley of Kashmir. Embark on trails that lead to exotic places like Sang-e-Safed Valley and Nilnag. Away from the confines of the mundane, Yusmarg is a little paradise in its own right.

DAY 06: Yusmarg

  • After breakfast, enjoy the beautiful view of Yusmarg.

Day 07: Yusmarg- Srinagar (One way - 50 Kms , Around 2 hrs per way)

  • After breakfast check out from the Hotel and then proceed towards the Srinagar.
  • Visit Mughal Gardens (Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Chashm-e-Shahi).
  • Enjoy 1 Hour Boat Ride on Lake by a gondola Boat called ?SHIKARA? witness the ride on lake, called Venice of India & experience the aquatic life of Srinagar.
  • Check in to the houseboat in Srinagar.
  • Overnight stay and dinner at houseboat in Dal Lake.

Day 08: Srinagar

  • Breakfast and keep your luggage ready for check out.
  • Transfer to the Srinagar Airport.
  • Depart with fond memories.
  • Note: This is to update that there are no liquor shops (alcoholic beverages) in Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonamarg. Hotels in these regions don't serve liquor. Guests are requested to carry liquor from Srinagar as there are only a few liquor shops in Srinagar.

    Important Note

  • In places like Pahalgam, new construction is banned to save ecology. In fact, it is so strict in Pahalgam, that older hotels cannot be renovated or painted too. Thus, many hotels have challenges with the interiors too.
  • Pony owners have a strong hold in Gulmarg and Pahalgam and restrict our vehicles travelling in these two villages. Guests have to listen to the instructions of the Drivers/ TMs and/or local guides in dealing with the locals.
