Jammu-Katra-Patnitop
Jammu is famous for its rich tradition of culture, lovely scenery, mediaeval temples, and lively local markets. Jammu, popularly referred to as the "City of Temples," has a unique combination of scenic beauty, spirituality, and cultural significance. It is located in the Himalayan foothills providing amazing panoramas of the mountain ranges and valleys. Jammu is also famous for its Rajma- Chawal, Khatta Ambal, a tangy and spicy pumpkin preparation, Kyur, a sumptuous food item with a wide cultural significance, Auriya, a typical preparation of fermented mustard and curd, Kalari, a cherished indigenous snack is made up of cheese and many such delicacies which are unheard of anywhere in India. You can enjoy these delicacies at various places in Jammu. Vaishno Devi being a renowned Hindu religious site in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir's Trikuta Mountain Ranges is one of India's most popular and beloved pilgrimage destinations. Patni-top is renowned for its outstanding scenic beauty, peaceful surroundings, and pleasant environment, which make it an attractive summer getaway for both domestic and foreign tourists. The area welcomes guests with possibilities for relaxation and outdoor activities, providing a calm respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. Ragunath Temple, Amar Mahal, Jambu Zoo, Tirupathi Balaji Temple, Bagh-e-Bahu, Mubarak Mandi, Akhnoor Forts are some of the other places that can be visited when coming in Jammu.
Day 01: Jammu
- Arrive at Jammu airport / Railway station and transfer to the hotel.
- Later visit Suchetgarh Border:- Then drive you towards India Pakistan border. We will cross the ?First Line of Defence? and go upto ?No Men?s Land? between India and Pakistan.
- Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel in Jammu.
Day 02 Jammu
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit the beautiful Mansar and Surinsar lakes.
- Return back to hotel.
- Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel in Jammu.
About Mansar Lake:The Mansar Lake near Jammu city is one of the most famous adventure tourism destinations in India. It is considered as a very holy site known from mythological periods sharing the sanctity and legacy of Mansa Sarovar. It is a very popular base of tourists. A temple for a snake god, Sheshnag, is located on the banks of lake. It is believed that it is auspicious for newlywed couples to seek blessings of Sheshnag by performing three parikarma around the lake.
About Surinsar Lake:Situated at a distance of 42 km from Jammu city, Surinsar Lake is known for its natural bounty and some mythological importance. Surrounded by thickly wooded mountain ranges and it is a popular picnic spot. The Surinsar Mansar Wildlife Sanctuary is nestled in the midst of both the lakes and supports 3 mammalian species and 15 avifauna species including crane.
Day 03 Jammu (Local Sight-Seeing)
- Breakfast
- Visit Bawe temple, Bagh e Bahu, Fish aquarium and Maharaja Hari Singh Park, Amar mahal.
- Dinner& Overnight Stay at the Hotel in Jammu.
Day 04: Jammu- Katra (One way 50 Km; approx 1:30 Hrs by Road)
- After Breakfast Checkout from the Hotel.
- En-route visit the famous Amar Mahal Museum.
- Check in Hotel in Katra.
- Dinner & Overnight Stay at Katra Hotel.
Visit Jambu Zoo:The Jambu Zoo, billed as the largest in north India, would hold 27 prominent types of animals, including the Royal Bengal tiger and Asiatic lion. The zoo will also hold black bears, sloth bears, crocodiles, leopards, deer, and several species of snakes. One of the biggest attractions at the Jambu Zoo is Zoo Safari. It is on the lines of Jungle Safari. The area of the zoo for safari has also been increased from 163.5 hectares to 229.5 hectares. This vast area and greenery will also boost the Eco-tourism-related initiatives.
Day 05: Katra (Vaishno Devi Darshans)
Please be advised that on the day of Darshans we will not provide vehicle and guests have to coordinate with hotels reception for Banganga / Helipad pick up and drop. The hotel may or may not apply charges for Banganga pick up and drop as per policy.

- Return to Katra and overnight at Hotel.
- Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel in Katra.
Register and Procure RFID Cards. Drop to the Banganga and start your Yatra for Vaishno Devi Darshans (Please be advised that Bhavan is around 13 Km?s from Katra Town and you can hire Ponies, Palkis or can cover the distance by Foot).
Please note that RFID are available at Shrine Board's Yatra Slip counter at Katra.
Important Instruction?Kindly keep tab, laptop, Video camera, handy camera and any licensed weapon in your hotel room as due to security reasons these things are not permitted during Yatra.
Day 06: Katra ? Shivkhori - Katra (One way?90 Kms; 04 hrs by Road)
- After breakfast transfer to Shiv-Khori. (DAY VISIT)
- After the divine Darshans of Lord Shiva back to Katra town.
- Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel in Katra.
Shivkhori Description:Khori means cave (Guffa) and Shiv Khori thus denotes Shiva's cave. This natural cave is about 200 metres long, one metre wide and two to three meters high and contains a self made lingam, which according to the people is unending. The first entrance of the cave is so wide that 300 devotees can be accommodated at a time. This cave is spacious to accommodate large number of people. The inner chamber of the cave is smaller.
Day 07: Katra ? Patnitop (One way ? 90 Kms; 2-3 hrs by Road)
- Breakfast and checkout from the Hotel.
- Transfer to Patnitop.
- Check in Hotel in Patnitop.
- Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel in Patnitop.
Patnitop Description:Enveloped by thickly wooded Cedar/ Deodar forests, Patnitop offers beautiful picnic spots, peaceful walks and breathtaking views of the mountain scape of the Chenab basin. It is the closest winter resort to Jammu and to Udhampur and is second to none in its natural charm, climate, pine forests and lush green cover. This famous hill resort is perched on a beautiful plateau, at an altitude of 2024 m across which the Jammu-Srinagar Highway passes. Day Free at Leisure. Visit Nag Mandir devoted to Serpent God.
Day 08: Patnitop (Optional/ Own Arrangement Activities)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer to Chenani to experience the India?s highest ropeway (Gondola) by Skyview Empyrean Projects Ltd. (https://skyviewpatnitop.com/)
- Optional Activities/Own Cost: You can also opt for other adventure activities and the activities include:Zipline, Tubing Sledge,Magic Carpet.
- After having a thrilling experience of the Ropeway ride, return back to the Patnitop.
- Overnight stay and dinner at Hotel in Patnitop.
